OSHA

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) was created in 1971 in the United States to prevent work related deaths, illnesses, and injuries. OSHA sets and enforces health and safety standards for the workplace. Even though OSHA only regulates safety in the workplace, it is still a good idea when working at home to follow these safe work practices. Go to www.osha.gov to learn more about this organization. Note: In Canada, the federal agency is the Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety (www.ccohs.ca).
