Traction in Snow

When driving in cold climates it is best to be prepared for unexpected snowy weather conditions. Tire traction devices can keep you on the road when you would otherwise not be able to get traction. Before buying tire traction devices for your tires, check the owner’s manual for the recommended style. There are different classes of traction devices and they must be sized to your vehicle’s tires. Some are made with cables and others with metal chains. Install the snow traction devices according to their instructions and make sure they are tight. If they loosen up while going down the road they can be a hazard and damage your vehicle.
