A junction block, fuse panel, or electrical center containing fuses, flashers, relays, and circuit breakers can be found under the hood, under the dash, on the driver’s side edge of the instrument panel, in the trunk, or in the glove box. There may be more than one panel and some fuses may be in-line, especially on aftermarket installed accessories. A cover on the junction block often identifies the purpose of each fuse (Figure 9.14). If the cover is unclear, refer to the owner’s manual for a fuse diagram. Warning: Always have the ignition switch off before working on any electrical component.
