ILSAC

The International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) was formed in the 1990s by Japanese and American automotive manufacturers. ILSAC develops and identifies standards for gasoline-fueled (GF) engine oils. In 2010, ILSAC developed the GF-5 standard.
